The Pastille Alabaster Wall Light

Pastille is a single, simple shape: a long pill of alabaster with rounded ends, 45cm tall, with a slim line of metal running down the centre of its face from end to end. There are no arms or shades, only the stone and the light within it.
The integrated LED lights the panel in warm white. Because the form is so pared back, the veining becomes the detail, drawn out across the stone when lit.
It mounts directly onto the wall and sits fully flush against it, only 5.5cm deep, which makes it useful in a hallway, on a landing or beside a bed where space is tight. A pair either side of a mirror or console gives a quiet symmetry, and a row of them along a corridor sets a calm rhythm of light. The metalwork comes in brass or bronze.
As alabaster is a natural stone, the veining, tone and translucency of every panel are unique.
