The Strata Alabaster Table Lamp
Model: KT960-1
Strata is named for the layers in which alabaster forms over time. Its base is a solid column of alabaster, 12cm across and 35cm tall, where those layers show as soft bands of grey and honey veining running through the stone.
A metal ring grounds the column and a slim stem carries a white drum shade, 45.7cm across, which softens the light from a single E27 bulb and throws it down across the stone. The lamp has real presence, suited to a sideboard, a console in a hallway, a living room side table or a generously wide bedside.
The metalwork comes in brass or bronze. Because the column is natural alabaster, the veining, tone and translucency vary from lamp to lamp.
