The brief was clear: create a home away from home that effortlessly blends indulgence with elegance—an elevated city retreat that could be loved by every member of an extended family. The destination? One Blackfriars - one of London’s most iconic and architecturally significant addresses.

A symbol of prestige and high design, One Blackfriars offers residents access to an exclusive lifestyle: a private cinema, residents’ lounge, and world-class spa. Our vision was to ensure this three-bedroom apartment became a seamless continuation of that lifestyle, unapologetically luxurious, deeply personal, and beautifully timeless.

LUXURY IN MATERIALITY & SCALE

Only the most exceptional materials would suffice. From rich marble and American walnut to brass accents and subtle 24 carat gold plating, every element was hand-selected to convey refinement and warmth. Each bespoke piece was exclusively designed, built, and installed by the Touched Interiors team, creating a fully custom interior that spoke to both craftsmanship and comfort.

Designing at this scale within a high-rise residence came with its own challenges. Oversized pieces and intricate installations demanded technical precision. Our early-access surveys ensured each element was meticulously planned, navigating routes with as little as 20mm tolerance to deliver luxury without compromise.

ELEVATED INTERIORS FOR MODERN CITY LIVING

Every detail was designed to impress. Floor-to-ceiling installations create an enhanced sense of space, while wall-to-wall couture wallcoverings serve as the perfect backdrop for our sculptural furnishings. Mood lighting was layered throughout the apartment to enrich ambiance at every hour, and polished plaster finishes were introduced to elevate key architectural features.

To enhance comfort and control, we implemented an integrated 5amp lamp lighting system, allowing effortless command over the atmosphere with a single touch.

STATEMENT DESIGN WITH LONDON AS THE BACKDROP

The kitchen is crowned with a breathtaking brass and walnut wine display, complete with a backlit feature wall that transforms the space into a visual experience by evening.

And for moments of stillness above the city, we created a sky garden—an outdoor retreat for champagne evenings and panoramic views across London’s iconic skyline.
