The Isola Alabaster Chandelier

Isola sets three irregular, hand-carved alabaster shades along a 100cm metal bar. No two shades share quite the same outline, so the row has the feel of three found objects rather than a matched set.
Isola is Italian for island, and it is sized for one: the bar follows the line of a kitchen island or a dining table below. Each shade takes a G9 bulb, and when lit the carving shows in the way the light gathers and thins through the stone, with the veining drawn out in warm tones.
The bar comes in brass, bronze or black. Overall it measures 100cm long, 16cm wide and 37cm high, and the suspension is adjusted at installation. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining, tone and translucency of every shade are unique.
