The Anello Alabaster Wall Light

Anello means ring. A circle of alabaster 34cm across is set against a brass backplate, which glows through the centre of the ring, so the piece has two layers: the stone itself and the metal behind it.
Lit by an integrated LED in warm white, the alabaster takes on a soft luminance and its veining shows around the circle. The metal at the centre catches the light and adds warmth to the heart of the piece.
Its round form works as a single statement above a console, a bed or a dining sideboard, or as a pair in a hallway or living room. On a plain wall it reads almost as a framed object. The metalwork comes in brass or bronze.
Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining, tone and translucency of every ring are unique.
