The Canneto Travertine Wall Light

Canneto is the Italian word for a reed bed, and the slim column of this light recalls a single reed stem. A narrow cylinder of travertine, 6.5cm across, stands off the wall on a wood back.
Lit, the light leaves the stone at its ends and draws soft beams up and down the wall, while the cylinder itself stays matte, its pores and banding catching the spill along its length. The shortest size suits a bedside or a narrow wall, while the taller columns frame a doorway, line a hallway or stairwell, or stand either side of a console.
There are three heights, H23cm, H32cm and H60cm, and a choice of Walnut or Natural Oak for the wood back. The H23cm takes one GU10 bulb, and the two taller sizes take two GU10 bulbs, one lighting upwards and one lighting downwards. Travertine is a natural stone, so the veining, pores and tone of every column are unique.
