The Culla Alabaster Wall Light

Culla is Italian for cradle. A cylinder of alabaster sits in a curved metal base that holds it from below, so the stone looks placed rather than fixed.
A single E14 bulb lights the cylinder. The glow is warm and diffused, and the veining shows through the stone once lit. At 21.5cm tall it is compact and well suited to either side of a bed, a narrow hallway or a reading corner, where a larger fitting would crowd the wall.
The metalwork comes in brass, bronze or black. Black sharpens the contrast with the stone; brass gives a warmer, softer pairing; bronze sits quietly between the two.
Every cylinder is cut from natural alabaster, so its veining, tone and translucency are unique.
