The Piatto Travertine Wall Light
Model: KT990-1
Piatto is Italian for plate. A flat, round plate of travertine is mounted on the wall as a backdrop for a small wooden spotlight, which can be angled to direct the light where it is needed.
Unlit, the plate reads as a calm panel of honey and cream stone with natural open pores. Switched on, the spotlight throws a focused pool of light, while the travertine behind it softens the fitting against the wall. Because the head adjusts, it makes a practical reading light beside a bed or an armchair, and can also be turned to pick out a picture or a shelf.
The plate measures 25cm across, sits 10cm from the wall and takes an E27 bulb. Travertine is a natural stone, so the veining, pores and tone of every plate are unique.
