The Globo Travertine Wall Light
Model: KT966-1
Globo is Italian for globe. A rounded form of travertine, cut flat at the back to sit against the wall, holds a light at its top and base, so the stone reads as a small solid world set on the wall.
Travertine is opaque, so the globe itself stays calm and matte, with its pores and soft banding on show, while beams of light wash up and down the wall above and below it. By day it is a sculptural accent; by night it draws a gentle vertical pool of light. It suits a hallway, landing or stairwell, and works well in pairs flanking a doorway or a fireplace.
Compact at 13 x 12 x 12cm, it takes two E27 or GU10 bulbs. Travertine is a natural stone, so the veining, pores and tone of every piece are unique.
