The Braccio Alabaster Wall Light

Braccio, the Italian for arm, is built around a simple reach. A rectangular brass backplate, 12cm by 28cm, carries a short arm that holds an alabaster cylinder, 8cm across and 20cm tall, a little away from the wall.

That small distance lets the light spill onto the wall behind as well as through the stone. An E14 bulb sits inside the cylinder, which glows warm and shows its veining clearly when lit. The upright backplate gives the piece a traditional sconce outline, suited to a hallway, a stairwell, a panelled living room or either side of a bed.

The backplate and arm come in brass or bronze. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining, tone and translucency of every cylinder are unique.
