The Mensola Alabaster Wall Light

Mensola takes its name from the Italian for shelf. A shallow, curved plank of alabaster with softly rounded ends is mounted on a brass bar, and it can be fixed horizontally or vertically, so one design can sit above a mirror, over a picture or run up the wall beside a doorway.

The integrated LED lights the length of the stone evenly. The curve catches the glow at its centre and the veining appears in long, warm streaks. At 40cm it suits a bedside or a hallway; at 60cm it gives a longer line of light above a console or along a stairwell.

The metalwork is available in brass or bronze. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining, tone and translucency of each plank are unique.
